Things To Consider When Shipping To Belgium
If you're shipping to Belgium, you'll need to be aware of customs regulations. Here are a few pointers to avoid delays.
There are no limits on the amount of alcohol and tobacco you can take into another EU country. However, if the amount exceeds the following numbers, customs officials reserve the right to inspect your boxes.
Tobacco products:
- 800 cigarettes
- 400 cigarillos
- 200 cigars
- 1kg smoking tobacco
Alcohol:
- 10 litres of spirits over 22%
- 20 litres of alcoholic beverages less than 22%
- 90 litres of wine
- 110 litres of beer
These will be prohibited at Belgian customs:
- Meat and milk from non-EU countries
- Protected species and similar items as listed by the CITES
And here's a list of restricted items:
- Powdered milk for babies
- Fish, if it has not been disembowelled and does not exceed 20kg
- Currency
- Any item of clothing that uses genuine animal fur - including leather shoes
Just to let you know, there's more, Belgium is covered by our excellent MoveCube® service. The MoveCube® is a large container inside a trailer which can move the contents of a two-bedroom flat. It's a very simple process whereby we drop the MoveCube® off at your door, you load it up with boxes and we return to collect it again to take to your chosen destination. Easy.
